Movies

I am always amazed that my students especially have not enjoyed some or most of the basic cinematic repertoire (e.g., Citizen KaneThe Seventh SealRed RiverThe 400 Blows). Therefore, I should not expect that they would have seen these relatively obscure movies described here that I have so enjoyed. So, it seemed better to create a more idiosyncratic web page, on which I could pontificate freely about all of this wonderful stuff.

“You’re my brother, Fredo. You don’t have to apologize to me.”

Hôtel Terminus: Klaus Barbie et son temps (1988)

I Married a Witch (1942)

La retour de Martin Guerre (1982)

The Blue Dahlia (1946)
