I am always amazed that my students especially have not enjoyed some or most of the basic cinematic repertoire (e.g., Citizen Kane; The Seventh Seal; Red River; The 400 Blows). Therefore, I should not expect that they would have seen these relatively obscure movies described here that I have so enjoyed. So, it seemed better to create a more idiosyncratic web page, on which I could pontificate freely about all of this wonderful stuff.
